Background. The high frecquency of stroke cases among the population, at national and international level as well as the severe consequences of this pathology, especially of working-age population, have a considerable medical-social impact which requires additional scientific studies in prevention stroke. Objective of the study. Studying the peculiarities of stroke among the population of the Republic of Moldova, including the working-age population. Assessment of the medical -social impact and financial deficit of post-stroke people. Material and Methods. Descriptive study. The data werw used from the Department of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova and from the Management Center of National Public Health Agency. Results. The prevalence of stroke among the Republic of Moldova population in the last 5 years is comparatively stable, it varies statistically insignificantly.The incidence of stroke among the Republic of Moldova population in the last 5 years is decreasing. Stroke mortality predominates by 57%, compared to 43% of deaths caused by hemorrhagic stroke. The critical age of disability caused by stroke in women is 50-56 years, and in men 50-61 years. The ratio of people with disabilities of working-age in the Republic of Moldova is around 70% of the average salaryin economy. Conclusion. Stroke is an important public health problem, characterized by very high morbidity and mortality, with severe consequences.It is necessary to further study this problem, which will allow us to determine some measures in order to relief this problem. |
