Background. Angina pectoris (AP) is the most common form of ischemic heart disease, has a prevalence of 3.4% in men and 3.2% in women, increases with age for both sexes: from 4-7% in men and 5-7% for women, aged 45-64 years and 12-14% for men and 10-12% for women aged 65-84 years. Objective of the study. To determine the peculiarities of angina pectoris in adult men Material and Methods. The retrospective-prospective study included 332 patients with stable angina, hospitalized in 2015-2019 at the Municipal Clinical Hospital "Holy Trinity", 167 (50.6%) of them were men and 165 (49.4%) women, the average age being 67.2 years ± 1.4 years. Results. Angina pectoris occurred more frequently in men (50.6%) with the prevalence of unstable (62.3%), in the age group 4564 years (55.7%). In men, among the risk factors predominated: hypertension (91.1%) and dyslipidemia (69.9%). The onset of AP - typical retrosternal pain (55.9%). Men had 67.7% of high total cholesterol, 44.3% high LDL-cholesterol. The men demonstrated: ischemic changes (60.4%), rhythm disorders (53.9%), and LH (86.5%). Coronary angiography was applied more often to men with unstable AP (51.6%), with more frequent detection of tricoronary (42%) and bicoronary (39.8%) atherosclerotic lesions, with involvement LAD (36%) and RCA (34%), with stenting in 52.7%. Conclusion. Men with AP show more frequent typical retrosternal pain on exertion and detect more frequently cardiovascular morphofunctional disorders. Against the background of conservative treatment, men more frequently and earlier underwent stenting and coronary artery bypass grafting. |
