Rezumat

The present article deals with the description of such psychological problems as Internet-dependence of the youth. Due to the research carried out among students it was possible to determine the psychological characteristics of the internet-dependent persons. These are the students with the underestimated self-image and raised level of uneasiness and aggression. The given article is also focused on the description of the notion of internet-dependence and its symptoms. At this point the positive and negative sides of the internet are being emphasized and the preventive ways to anticipate the internet-dependence by the students are being offered.
