The shy attempts of the Russian governers to introduce some elements of the constitutional monarchy had stabilized a little political situation in the Empire. Political fights moved from the streets into the rooms of the State Duma. The beginning of the Thirst World War also didn’t change the situation. It seems that Bessarabia was one of the most patriarchal regions with low level of political activity. About the low level of political activity tells us also a small number of persons arrested for political activity. Majority of the political convicted were represented by the alolingual population. |
