At the present time arthroplasty is the most frequently used method of treatment for diseases of the hip joint. The widespread use of endoprostheses has resulted in an increased number of complications. The success of the operation depends upon the knowledge and ability of the surgeon. The author discusses different approaches to this type of surgery, the positioning and insertion of muscles, and describes the landmarks for locating/identifying the positions of the vessels and nerves. He also gives recommendations for the prevention of lesions in anatomical structures and actions the surgeon can undertake if complications arise.

В настоящее время артропластика является наиболее часто применяемым методом лечения при ряде заболеваний тазобедренного сустава. С распространением эндопротезирования увеличилось число осложнений, зависящих от знания хирургом анатомии тазобедренного сустава. В статье обсуждаются особенности хирургических доступов, расположение и точки прикрепления мышц, ориентиры, позволяющие определить места прохождения сосудов и нервов, а также даются рекомендации по предотвращению повреждения анатомических образований и действия хирурга при возникновении осложнений.
