Contemporary man, as it is known, lives in an extremely unstable society, unpredictable in all respects and deficient in sharing positive emotions. The development of science, the emergence of new technologies, globalization processes, the transition to a market economy, changing value priorities, insecurity in relations with people around them cause crises in all spheres of human life and activity. The inability to cope with them causes states of stress, which often lead, as a consequence, to destructive mental and physiological reactions or distress. Thus, the person, going through a state of a critical intensity of internal tension, overload of the body, exceeds his/her mental and physical resources, reaching decreases in performance, dissatisfaction and psycho-somatic disorders. The subjects of interest in this research are the persons working in the legal field - lawyers. They often resolve ("foreign") conflicts and apparently deal with permanent stressful situations. In this context, the problem of our investigation is to determine the particularities of the manifestation of settlement strategies and coping strategies in lawyers. The legal profession has much in common with the profession of psychologist. Moreover, an experienced, successful lawyer is always a good psychologist, in the everyday sense of the word, a wise, tactful and insightful interlocutor. The research was conducted on a number of 37 lawyers from the Republic of Moldova. They are between 23 and 27 years old, of which 18 are men and 19 women. |
