In the summer of 1941 Chisinau was bombed in the outlying districts by the Romanian-German troops, but the big destructions where committed by the NKVD commandoes, which had the mission to set fire and to dynamite the most important buildings and factories of the city. In this way there have been destroyed the buildings from the centre of the city and the industrial factories. For years the soviet regime was repeating the lie about the huge destructions that the Romanian-German troops have provoked during the occupation of Chișinău. After the years the truth was spoken. In this material I have included the memories of some witnesses which saw Chisinau immediately after the liberation in July 1941. In this way we are contributing to the elimination of a historical lie.
