Rezumat

In the latest discussions about Fine Arts two defining notions related to the artistic style of the works o f art constantly mentioned - academism and avant-gardism. These terms present artistic trends o f the XXth century having a controversial character. Polemics regarding teaching/learning methods are still preserved, especially in the Republic of Moldova, where there the inheritances of soviet etalons are noticed in academic training. This shows the skillfulness and the virtuosity of the academic technique combined with the spirit of the socialist realism The present article is an attempt to the reconciliation o f those two artistic concepts within study process in Fine Arts schools and faculties.
