Nicolae Matcas grammar studies perform the progressive phenomenon of the Prague linguistic school. According to his considerations, the syntax of a natural language is always bond to the content of this language and its parts are in a strong connection with semantics. Form and content correlation, the extensional and intentional correlation, the semantic syntax and natural logic correlation, create the higher condition for the analysis of all grammar problems. In his studies there is a continuous strong stress on the content traits, this way, the start is set from the content analysis to the grammar analysis. Namely these key-traits of the concepts advocated by the linguist – Nicolae Matcas, we try to discuss in the current article that we‘ve set up on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary. His Eminence has activated many years as a professor at the Romanian language and literature department, the Faculty of Philology, becoming in short time a notorious personality at the Pedagogical University „Ion Creanga‖. |
