The coronavirus pandemic is a global health crisis that has created one of the biggest challenges spreading to all continents except Antarctica. However, COVID-19 is more than a health crisis, with unprecedented implications because it confuses every country it affects, with the power to generate devastating social, economic and environmental effects. This paper aims to present the legislative and managerial aspects for waste management generated by the Covid virus 19. In the capacity of information sources were used the official data of the competent structures, both globally and nationally. In the Republic of Moldova, during a pandemic, medical institutions accumulated twice as much medical waste per day, than in periods when the medical system was functioning normally and the problem of their management remains current in terms of the danger it presents, both for society as well as for the environment. |
