This scientific paper addresses the issue of low prices in line with sustainability issues. The authors use as an argument the position and arguments of Professor Michael Carolan regarding the unquantified part of the costs. These costs are found in the unequal labor remuneration for the same operations for workers in different countries, in limited access to certain resources, etc. These and other arguments lead to the conclusion that radical changes need to be done to people's attitudes towards the low prices they pay when purchasing a good. This can be done, initially, through the involvement of public authorities, an important role being assigned to public procurement. |
