Trans-8, trans-10-Dodecadienylacetate – main component of the pear moth sex pheromone was synthesized. At interaction of the Grigniar reagent in hexametilenclorhydrine, protected by dihydropirane, with sorbilacetate in tetrahydrophurane at low temperature the respective acetale is obtained, the acidic hydrolysis of which gives trans-8,trans-10-dodecadienol-1. Acetilation of the last compound by acetyl chloride in ether brings to trans-8,trans-10-dodecadienylacetate. The product obtained possesses a biological activity for pear moth males and it can be utilized for pear-tree protection. |
