Neology represents a creative phenomenon, which contributes to the enrichment of languages, from a general perspective and in terms of specialized domains of usage. The formation of new lexical and terminological units becomes an individual and collective conscious process. This paper presents an analysis of language enrichment process through neonyms in French, extracted from a corpus of texts, taken from press sources, in the field of economics. The first part of this work is devoted to a preliminary theoretical presentation of language enrichment and lexical creativity. In the second part, we explain the main observed neological processes using concrete examples. |
