in this short intervention there are presented very briefly, some of the most succulent responses from Brăila County schoolteachers to the questions contained in the questionnaire Haşdeu. We tried to suggest, once again, the great capital of information which they contain and which undoubtedly deserves further deepened in many different directions and research. Discussing about Hașdeu, whether it is an attempt tinting biographical or an attempt to "exegesis" of his vast work is an approach seemingly easy, but equally challenging and pressing the pitfalls inherent vastness of the area and the literature that was no less dedicated over time. Although we are separated more than a century after his disappearance, a more fertile area of research with multiple directions - legal history, ethnography, folklore, mythology, toponymy, linguistics etc., remain open after an inquiry taken into the countryside, to Romanian scholar initiative. In the following, we will make a few general comments – because the editorial requirements of the present volume – on the responses coming from Braila county to the Hașdeu "folk" questionnaire, which themselves remained unpublished until recently.
