In the present paper, the authors aim to investigate the essence and some peculiarities of the implementation of mediation in resolving cross-border conflicts in the field of family law. Intending to realize this, we made a characterization of the legislation and literature dedicated to the particularities of implementing mediation in resolving cross-border conflicts in the field of family law in some states of the European Union, and the Republic of Moldova, in terms of comparative law, under which authors reach a series of conclusions which highlight some particularities of the implementation of mediation in resolving cross-border conflicts, in the field of family law, the various opinions of different authors. It is mentioned that at the international level, the first attempts were made to create a unified regime for the implementation of mediation in the settlement of cross-border conflicts in the field of family law. Thus, an important moment in its development is its recognition, as a universal value, as an institution of international law.
