As a fundamental way of human existence, adaptation is the condition and at the same time the result of complex generating and constructive processes, which are mutually functionally determined without losing their own content. Perceived as a product of the individual’s permanent relationship with the environment, the result of adaptation can materialize either by acceptance or rejection. The enrichment and development of the cognitive, behavioral and social repertoire under the impetus of positive emotions favors the development of resources in these registers and ensures an efficient, optimal psychosocial adaptation of the individual to the new conditions.
