Rezumat

Kyrgyzstan experiences a high popularity of Islamic education, including among girls nowadays. During research in 15 Islamic educational institutions, the author revealed that the main focus of training girls is not receiving a deep religious education, but preparation them to gender function - to be an obedient wife and a dedicated mother. All girls are inspired with the idea of polygamy, as it is allowed by the Qur’an. All students and teachers share the idea of the superiority of men over women. The main reasons for the popularity of Islamic education are, on the one hand, socio-economic problems, unemployment and poverty, and on the other, the revival of the historical identity of the Kyrgyz people after gaining Independence. However, along with spreading out of Islamic values, we have increasing discrimination against women's rights in society. The preservation and observance of women's rights in Kyrgyzstan is an important task of both the state and the entire civil society.
