Rezumat

Therefore education is by definition a value, one could say, the highest human value, because through education man becomes man (I.Kant).Education is an opportunity of the Orthodox Church to transmit and cultivate values. The article starts from analyzing the purpose and role of religious education through the internment of moral-religious behavior models. Experts thus acknowledge that "moral and religious values are a field of high sensitivity, involving faiths and visions of the world. Such values cannot be tackled simplistically from a narrow curricular perspective, nor can it be reduced to a mere transmission of knowledge. These values must be progressively developed, with students being aware of them and acquiring them individually and through a lasting process. In other said, the acquisition of moral and religious values must be the result of the individual's ability and experience autens. Similarly, the development of moral and religious beliefs must be consistent with democratic values as a whole, thus respecting human rights, pluralism and legislation praxiology and axiology of moral-spiritual education.
