The article defines communicative competence and the four competence areas that construct the model: linguistic, sociolinguistic, discourse, and strategic. It also touches on the communicative approach often used to teach foreign languages. The dynamics of the communicative discourse is a natural process that requires an application of a wide range of skills and strategies. |
