Una dintre problemele sociale de mare amploare cu care se confruntă societatea contemporană se referă la fenomenul adicției. Se presupune că acest fenomen ar aduce daune sociale, afectând buna funcționare, relațiile familiale și sociale, doar persoanelor implicate (consumatori de droguri, alcoolici, etc.). În realitate comportamentul adictiv al persoanei amplifică și alte probleme sociale, având multiple efecte negative în domenii diferite precum cel economic, juridic, criminologic, medical, psihologic. În acest articol ne propunem analiza succintă a elementelor conceptuale referitoare la comportamentele adictive, studierea prevalențelor în societatea contemporană, cunoașterea definițiilor și clasificarea acestor comportamente, identificarea criteriilor de diagnostic, a factorilor de risc, și cunoașterea teoriilor și a efectelor în planul sănătății psihosomatice și sociale.

One of the major social problems that contemporary society faces is the phenomenon of addiction. It is assumed that this phenomenon would bring social damage, affecting the good functioning, family and social relations, only to the persons involved (drug users, alcoholics, etc.). In fact, the addictive behavior of the person amplifies other social problems, having multiple negative effects in different fields such as: economic, legal, criminological, medical, psychological.In this article we propose a brief analysis of the conceptual elements regarding the addictive behaviors, the study of the prevalences in the contemporary society, the knowledge of the definitions and the classification of these behaviors, the identification of the diagnostic criteria, the risk factors, and the knowledge of the theories and the effects in the psychosomatic and social health plan.
