Rezumat | ||||||
The international lexicon is a totality of lexical units, whose functioning in the language is dictated by two mechanisms - nominative and syntactic. One mechanism is responsible for selecting and creating denominative units, another is responsible for word’s construction. Terminological units autonomous, non-autonomous and of Greco-Latin origin (so-called «cultisms», «elevated words») form the core of medical terminology. |
