Nitric oxide is a simple heterodiatomic molecule, composed by an atom of Nitrogen and one of Oxygen, with multiple and various effects in human biology; an biologic mediator, which is involved in various pathological and pathophysiological processes. In GERD the NO participates in the esophagian dysmotility adjustment, could be appreciated as a marker of inflammatory process in esophagus; it plays an citopretective role. |
