Rezumat

Recently, amides have become the subject of intensive study [1]. The relative facile synthesis (from readily accessible precursors) have made them the perfect choice in many syntheses, especially as ligands in coordination chemistry. The purpose of this work was to synthesize a new compound by quaternization reaction using iodoacetamide and an aliphatic amide derivative containing imidazole as shown in the scheme below:formulahe resulting product was obtained as a white solid in a good yield. The structure of this compound was proved by elemental and spectral analysis IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, twodimensional spectra COSY, HETCOR (HSQC), HETCOR (HMBC).schemeCurrent attempts are on the way in order to obtain new coordination compounds containing this ligand.
