In terms of legislative construction, the adjacent variations of the extortion offence are deployed in its standard version. Our scientific approach was directed to the juridical research of blackmailing through threat. Thus, besides the content and the essence of the threat, in this study there were defined the standards that outline the adjacent actions that have certain points of convergence with other related offences, such as robbery, burglary etc. However, our debate issues even some problems regarding the General Part of the Penal Code, especially in the matter concerning the determination of criminal liability for extortion acts. Note that all problems have been analyzed in terms of national jurisprudence, thereby assuring the practical aspect of the research.
