Rezumat

A new bis-iminophosphorane CH2CH2[P{=NP(=O)(OPh)2}Ph2]2 was synthesised from the reaction of 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (DPPE) with diphenylphosphorylazide (DPPA). The reaction was carried out in toluene at room temperature. Bis-iminophosphorane was obtained in very good yield (97%). The product was isolated easily from reaction medium and characterized by melting point, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 31P-NMR, UV-vis, termogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. This compound crystallized in the space group P1 of the triclinic system with two molecules in a unit cell of dimensions a = 9.311(3)Å, b = 10.547(3)Å, c = 13.654(4)Å, α = 80.247(5), β = 85.934(5), γ = 73.326(5), Z = 2. The structure has been refined to a final value for the crystallographic R factor of 0.0473 based on 12013 observed independent reflections.figure
