CT Imaging for meningioma has been described in 2 dogs, 10 years of age, who were present at the consultation at Internal Clinic (Neurology) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Iaşi. CT features were represented by: extraaxial location, broad base of implantation, hiperdens aspect compared to the surrounding parenchyma and post-contrast enhancement. In addition cystic meningioma presented a hypodense area, located in the periphery of the tumor, greater than the tumor itself. Also, there was an intensification of the meninges adjacent to the tumor following administration of the contrast agent, aspect called meningeal or dural tail sign. |
