From the epidemiological viewpoint, wild animals act as a natural reservoir and permanent source of parasites from domestic animals and livestock. Parasites are an integral part of any natural ecosystem and pathogens play important role in farming systems. Durring period December 2011 - January 2012, 99 Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus L.) from five hunting territories of Arad County were necropsied. Faecal samples and alimentary tracts were collected and examined for gastrointestinal parasites stages. Male and female Roe deer were infected with eight genera of parasites: Eimeria, Moniezia, Nematodirus, Cooperia, Tricocephalus, Gongylonema, Trichostrongilidae şi Setaria. The presence of endoparasites was detected in 44 of 99 samples, and overall prevalence was 44,44%. Of the examined samples was observed poliparasitism at 19 (19,19%), and monoparasitism at 25 (25,25%). Do not exist semnificative differences between age, sex groups and intensivity value. |
