In the period September 2013 - January 2014, 22 wild boar (Sus scrofa) from three hunting territories of Timis County were necropsied. Out of these, fourteen were males, eight females and they were aged between six months to four years. To determine the ‚digestive system parasites, gastrointestinal weight were collected. Of the 22 samples examined 19 were positive, the overall prevalence was 81.81%. Parasite prevalence was identified 22.27% with Eimeria spp., 9.09% with Hyostrongylus rubidus, 27.27% with Ascaris suum, 59.09% with Globocephalus urosubulatus and with Trichocephalus suis 40.90%. |
