Nowadays, the total of morally and physically depreciated devices for radio-dyagnosis, used in the public medical institutions under the authority of Helath Ministry of the Republic of Moldova is 83,2%. In the same time, as of 1 of January, 2012, only 5,5% out of this equipment is digital; this is why it is necessary to endow the radio-dyagnosis service with digital devices. This management decision would lead to an improvement of the quality of this kind of medical assistance, a decrease in the level of ionizing irradiation of the population, an optimised radio-protection, a secure radio-dyagnosis service etc. Replacement of 232 traditional devices with digital ones and with direct generation of the image would require a fi nancial effort of EUR 55 milion from the state budget, or an amount of Eur 9 to 12 milion allocated for equipping the existing devices with annexes type „ICR-3600LF” or „Eleva-S” with indirect generation of the image.
