<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>Spinal deformities in children and adolescents is an actual problem of contemporary orthopedics. School spinal screening programs are used in many countries around the world for early diagnosis of spinal deformities that reduces the necesity of surgical treatment. For the fi rst time spinal screening has been performed in the schools of Chisinau. Its preliminary results confi rm the importance and seriosity of this problem.</p></description>

Для ранней диагностики этой патологии во многих стрaнах мира используются школьные скрининг-программы, что значительно уменьшает количество пациентов, нуждающихся в хирургическом лечении сколиоза. Предварительные результаты ортопедического скрининга учеников, впервые проведенного в школах мун. Кишинэу, подтверждают важность и серьезность данной проблемы.</p></description>
