Rezumat

Pure LaCoO3 was obtained by the thermolysis of La-Co oxalate coordination compound. The precursor was obtained by a new method, through the reaction of 1,2-ethanediol with metal nitrates, in weak acid solution. The synthesized precursor was characterized by chemical analysis, infrared spectroscopy and thermal analysis. The LaCoO3 compound obtained after a heating treatment of the precursor at 600 °C/h was investigated by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and SEM microscopy
