Rezumat

Human toxocariasis is a worldwide spread medical and social problem of major importance. Toxocariasis has become one of the most common parasites in humans. In the last years its incidence continues to increase. The spectrum of clinical manifestations during Toxocara invasion is highly polymorphic after damage intensity and hematologic response as well as by specifi c damage of the organs and systems. The long term events in T. canis in humans remain little known. A separate issue is the covert form of toxocariasis, unknown to physicians, with no clear conduct to this state and the larvicidal treatment is often ineffective. The presented case confi rms what has been said. Economical annual implications arising from human toxocariasis are practically impossible to calculate.
