Indolizine derivatives have been found to possess a variety of biological activities such as antiinflammatory, antiviral, analgesic and antitumor activities [1]. In addition, indolizine derivatives have been found to have long wavelength absorption and strong fluorescence in the visible region [2, 3]. On the other hand, 1,2,3-triazoles are able to perform a variety of important roles in sensing. Thus, they contribute to the binding of target analyte or they can act as part of a conjugated fluorophore [4]. Considering these important properties and the steadily increasing importance of fluorophores in biolabeling and environmental trace analysis, we synthesized new fluorescent indolizine derivatives with 1,2,3-triazoles as substituents. A fluorescence study of the new compounds is underway.formula |
