Rezumat

Human lactoferrin is a basic (pI 9.48) glycoprotein member of the transferrin family [1].  Like other proteins members of the transferrin family, lactoferrin is involved in control of iron levels in living organism. Lactoferrin proprieties derive from the structural characteristics and its main function of iron uptake. For this  reason it is important to investigate the mechanism of iron binfing  and iron uptake. For this reason it is important  to investigate  the mechanism  of iron binding and iron release, as well its behavior in various solutions.
