Rezumat | ||||||
Regional development is one of the EU`s priority objectives. The emerging member states have to recover their development gaps from industrialized countries. Reducing gaps and inequalities between European countries or regions requires coordinated efforts through regional development policy. For the effective implementation of regional policy measures, the European territory was divided by regions according to certain territorial division criteria, NUTS, on three levels depending on the demografic volume. In this paper, we will analyze the situation of Romanian macroregions and regions of development using the statistical table provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INSSE) in terms of national inequalities manifested in the form of competitiveness and active companies in regional markets. |
