The Bank's lending policy as one of the most significant elements of the credit portfolio optimization system allows addressing the issues of credit risk mitigation, profitability enhancement and bank portfolio diversification. The lending policy sets out the prerequisites for the application of the portfolio concept to managing the bank and credit portfolio, formulating the ways to achieve its optimization goals. Clear and comprehensive disclosure of credit policy is of significant importance to any bank. This discloses the content of all crediting procedures and the obligations of bankers involved in these procedures. The compliance with credit policy principles allows the bank to form such a credit portfolio that contributes to the objectives of the banking business. These objectives are to ensure the bank's profitability, risk management control, compliance with the requirements of banking legislation. |
