An audit of joint activities is carried out to form an opinion on the reliability of profit (loss) indicators, and their distribution between participants. The rules of audit activity do not allow to identify the features of the auditor's actions during the audit of joint activities. The methodology for planning an audit of simple partnerships includes two of its levels: audit of a simple partnership and audit of its participants. Unlike currently used, it is a complex, interconnected and logically determined sequence of obtaining information about the joint activities of the partnership. The application of this technique in audit practice will allow a rational and high-quality organization of an audit of a simple partnership, to assess the impact of distortions in the financial statements of participants on the reliability of the financial statements of the partnership as a whole, to reduce the risk of non-detection of errors, and to ensure compliance with the recommendations of international audit standards. The novelty of the approach used within the framework of the methodology is that after the audit of each segment, including an analysis of their interaction, is completed, the results are summarized in the “simple partnership” segment, since it is possible to assess the reliability of accounting for partnership income only after checking the accuracy of accounting expenses of each of its participants. |
