Rezumat

In Republic of Moldova can be grow many species of vegetables plants, but more spread are tomato, paper, cucumber, onion, carrot, red beat, cabbage, egg plant, water melon, melon etc. Country is well known in region by high vegetable production and many large spread varieties. For the moment the breeders work in to direction to create high yield, early maturity varieties, with good culinary and processing qualities, adapted for cultivation in diff erent meteorological condition. A real results vas achieved in paper, tomato, cucumber breading. In the same time a lot of job should be done in organization of seed production. Country has an excellent climate condition and human tradition in vegetable seed production. For real development of vegetable sector the main attention should be paid on seed production oriented to export. Only in this case Moldavian vegetable seed producers can developed an market till 5–8 mln. euro annually, parallel to promote new breeders creation.
