Odată cu dezvoltarea presei și garantarea dreptului la liberă expri- mare, pamfletul a căpătat o extindere considerabilă în spațiul românesc, astfel că, în anumite situații, se face abuz de acest drept, unii însușindu-și titlul de pamfletar, cu scopul de a scăpa de răspundere în fața legii pentru calomnii și injurii. Libertatea de exprimare este un drept fundamental, dar nu absolut, ce se respectă atâta timp cât nu încalcă alte drepturi. Limita dintre dreptul la liberă exprimare și violarea onoa- rei și demnității unei persoane este foarte ambiguă, astfel că este destul de dificil de spus câtă libertate de exprimare are un pamfletar.

With the development of the press and the guarantee of the right to free expression, the pamphlet has gained a considerable expansion in the Romanian space, so that in some situations this right is abused and some people acquire the pamphleteer title in order to escape liability before the law for slanders and insults. Freedom of expression is a fundamental right, but not an absolute one, which must be respected as long as it does not violate other rights. The boundary between the right to free speech and the violation of a person’s honor and dignity is very ambi- guous, so it is quite difficult to say how much freedom of speech a pamphlet has.
