Rezumat

This article explores the subject "Guy de Maupassant and French Literature". The works of Guy de Maupassant and some remarkable Russian writers of the second half of the 19th century, as I.S. Turgenev and A.P. Chekhov, are investigated in comparative-typological terms. This approach is not occasional because in the case of great value writers, the affinities and the differences that can be observed both in the artistic visions and in their works become especially interesting.
