The tendency and necessity to become a “green hotel” lies not only in environmental responsibility, but also in the care of the health and welfare of guests and staff, because the environmental policy of the company will directly influence them. Although there are many relevant studies in the field, their importance has never been questioned by the hoteliers from the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the study carried out within the structures on the tourist reception with the functions of accommodation on the adopted environmental programs shows poor results in the development and implementation of some environmental strategies, respectively. This is due to the gaps or even the lack of policies adopted by the Government related to the economic agents from this sector.
