Rezumat | ||||||
The dependence of the cell membrane lipids peroxidation on the capacity of water homeostasis in the plant tissue and the antioxidant protection potential and plant resistance to drought has been established. Salicylic acid (SA) has the property to regulate the balance of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathioneperoxidase (GPX), gwaiacol peroxidase (GwP) ) - antioxidant enzymes with function of maintaining oxidative homeostasis of cells under stress conditions. Pre-treatment of plants with SA contributes to a significant reduction in stress-induced accumulation of malondialdehyde (MDA), which testifies to a lower degree of damage to the plant. |
