In this article we will tackle the dialogical and intercultural perspective of identity along with the Bakhtinian concept of dialogism applied to the existential and reflexive dimensions of the identity in J.M.G. Le Clézio’s work. Firstly we propose a terminological survey on the notion of "dialogue" as a category and on the notion of "dialogical" as a principle of analysis and interpretation. Secondly, we approach Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio’s personality and work from two analytical perspectives, dialogical and intercultural, seeking for some illustrative examples of his plural vision on Identity. Finally, we synthetize the dialogical and intercultural aspects of the identity that he embodies in life or in his novels where we can distinguish the double-speed existence of inter-cultural identities, of those "from elsewhere", and where we foresee the imperative need of the dialog and intercultural understanding of the Other-being.
