Rezumat

Humans are semiotic beings, enunciative instances that produce meaning and which, in turn, interprets the meaning of the words and gestures of another being. Despite the appearance of matter that surrounds us, man lives in a symbolic universe, in which language plays an essential role. For a long time already – not to mention always – the social being has no longer been in the immediate presence of reality, its knowledge passing through language, which makes it, according to Ernst Cassirer, “to be in constant contact with oneself. One has become surrounded by linguistic forms, artistic images, mythical symbols, and religious rites to the extent that it is impossible to see and know anything without the interposition of this artificial mediating component”. Culture is a complex set of representations that are manifested in the form of traditions, religions, morals, art, etc. Through language, man inherits a system of values that he perpetuates and/or transforms. This process is particularly obvious in the field of literary creation which, transposed into a “major” language (following the distinction operated by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, 1975), is likely to reach and influence a larger number of people and, gradually, change the mental forms or the vision on life.
