Rezumat

This study is based on the evaluation of a group of 20 newborns with diaphragmatic hernia which was confirmed by surgery, compared with control group of health newborns. The assessment of the immune state at the studied patients was performed through the appreciation of the monoclonal antibodies. The authors concluded that there was a severe secondary immune deficiency in studied newborns with diaphragmatic hernia, as a result of immune cellular inhibition caused by systemic inflammatory syndrome, as well as by infection, leucocytosis, and the increased content in plasma of proinflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8. The immune cells composition disturbances were presented by a state of immune suppression, hyposuppression and by cellular immune deficiency without imbalance of immune regulation. The persistence in plasma of high cytokines concentrations in diaphragmatic hernia invokes the necessity of neutralization therapy of cellular receptors, as well as of the cytokines production, fixation and actions.
