Rezumat | ||||||
The objective of this paper was to analyze the crop yield of the common winter wheat variety „Blagodarka Odesskaya” in relation to three factors: sowing date, sowing rates and forerunner crops (pea for seeds, sunflower and maize for grain). Under the conditions of the agricultural year 2017/2018 the forerunner pea crop (grown for split peas) was found to be more beneficial than sunflower and maize for grain and it ensured the highest wheat yield (6178.8 kg/ha) due to more favorable conditions for plant growth and development. The yield of wheat kernels after the forerunner sunflower crop constituted 3511.9 kg/ha and after maize for grain – 3780.8 kg/ha or respectively by 2666.9 kg/ha and 2398.0 kg/ha less. By its protein and gluten content the obtained wheat grain belongs to class B (precious wheat). Strong wheat with a protein content of over 14% was obtained after pea for seeds at the sowing rates of 6.0 million viable seeds per hectare when sowing was done at admissible time. |
