Автором визначено поняття принципу та принципу нотаріальної діяльності. Проаналізовано думки вчених-теоретиків та нормативні джерела стосовно тлумачення цих понять. Наголошено на відсутності в міжнародних нормативно-правових актах єдиного підходу до виокремлення кола принципів діяльності міжнародного нотаріату. Проаналізовані різні спроби в той чи інший історичний період на нормативному рівні закріпити питання щодо принципів діяльності міжнародного нотаріату. Здійснено систематизацію принципів нотаріальної діяльності та з’ясовано шлях їх еволюційного розвитку, трансформації та модернізації. Обґрунтовано авторське відношення до затверджених десяти принципів діяльності міжнародного нотаріату

The author defined the concept of “principle” and the principle of notarial activity. The opinions of theoretical scholars and normative sources concerning the interpretation of these concepts are analyzed. It is emphasized that in the international normative legal acts there is no single approach to the distinction between the principles of the activity of the international notary. Analyzed different attempts in a given historical period at the normative level to consolidate the issue of the principles of the activities of international notary. The systematization of the principles of notarial activity is carried out and the way of their evolutionary development, transformation and modernization is clarified. The author’s relation to the approved ten principles of activity of international notary is grounded.
