Rezumat | ||||||
Fire blight, a highly destructive disease of several members of the rose family, is caused by the bacterium Erwinia amylovora. In this study, antagonist activities of 4 epiphytic bacterial isolates and three copper products against Erwinia amylovora were evaluated under laboratory conditions. In the in vitro trial the most effective antagonist was P. aureofaciens CNMN–PsB-05, while the least effective was P. putida CNMN–BsB-06. Copper products that inhibited growth of the phytopathogen on the agar medium were Bouillie Bordelaise (copper sulphate neutralized with Ca, 770 g/kg) and Kocide 2000 (copper hydroxide, 538 g/kg). |
