From the very fi rst days of its entrance on the territory of Bessarabia, the Romanian Army paid special attention to the relations with civil populations. After the completion of the military operations and the establishment of the rule of law, the Romanian military helped the inhabitants of Bessarabia to carry out agricultural works, contributing with human resources, animals and other equipment. In this study, we present several documents from Romanian military archives, which attest the contribution of the Romanian militaries in 1918, both in carrying out the agricultural works and in supplying the urban settlements with grains and other products of prime necessity. |
