Rezumat

Thiosemicarbazones are an important class of organic compound boThfor chemistry and pharmacology. The most famous and distinguishing features of these compounds are their great variety of pharmacological properties. These biological activities are believed to be intensely related to their ability to form the stable complexes wiTha variety of metals. In addition, it is found that lipophilicity controlling the rate of entry of molecules into the cell may be enhanced by N(4)-substituted thiosemicarbazide.  The aim of this work is the synthesis, X-ray characterization of copper complexes wiTh4-benzoyl-5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone and study their biological properties. The Cu(II) atom exhibits a distorted square-planar geometry involving the tridentate thiosemicarbazone ligand, Cl and Br atoms in I and II respectively. The synthesized compounds show the antimicrobial activity Staphylococcus aureus CMI- 0,25 mg/mL; and antifungal activity Candida albicans - CMI- 0,125 mg/mL
